現代美術作家・原高史による言葉のない絵本『階段』原画展を開催
— 観客の言葉で成長する「絵本階段プロジェクト」を並行実施 —
Wada Fine Arts（東京都中央区）は、現代美術作家 原高史（はら たかふみ）による言葉のない絵本『階段』の原画展を、2025年11月18日（火）から11月30日（日）まで、大垣書店 麻布台ヒルズ店にて開催いたします。
展覧会 概要
本展は、2025年4月に株式会社求龍堂より出版された、原高史の言葉のない絵本『階段』の原画を中心に展示いたします。階段、蝋燭、少女、ほうきという4つのモチーフのみで構成された絵本は、読者に自由な想像を促し、静かな内省の時間を提供します。
言葉のない絵本『階段』について
言葉を排することで、「誰かの中に物語を生む」ことを意図して制作された絵本です。読者はページを捲る中で、少女の姿に自身の姿を投影し、現実からの乖離(かいり)の中で自由な想像をめぐらせることを作家は標榜(ひょうぼう)しています。
観客参加型プロジェクト
「絵本階段プロジェクト」
本展では、絵本の原画展示と並行して、観る人それぞれが絵本を通じて感じたことを“自分のことば”として残す観客参加型の「絵本階段プロジェクト」を実施します。
- 沈黙に耳を澄ませたあとに生まれる言葉: 言葉のない絵本の“沈黙”に耳を澄ませたあと、観客一人ひとりの内側に生まれた“ことば”を残していただきます。
- 共作として成長する作品: このプロジェクトは会期終了後も継続し、2026年にはWada Fine Artsにて、原高史展の関連企画プロジェクトとして展示を予定しています。アーティストの作品が、来場者すべてによる共作のように成長していく、そのプロセスをプロジェクト作品として提示いたします。

階段、少女、蝋燭、ほうき、このわずか4つのモチーフが織りなす、切り取られた一場面。
読者は遠くからこっそりと少女を覗き見る。
階段に佇む少女に読者は思いを投影し、自身を重ねながらページをめくる。
この絵本は、読者がストーリーテラーであり、ときに自分を映し出す鏡にもなる。
現代美術家 原高史が贈る密やかな体験。
ストーリーのない大人のための、文字のない絵本。
読者は遠くからこっそりとこの少女を覗くことになる。
そのなかで、決して描かれない少女の表情を想像し、その先にある感情に思いを巡らせる。
少女の頭上には小さな蝋燭に炎が灯っている。炎はゆらゆらと揺らぎ、その方向は空気の流れを示す。
これは、少女と階段で描かれた空間を具体的に想像する際に、読者に与えられた唯一のヒント、またはセンサーとして大きな意味がある。
自分の思いを少女に投影し、自分だけの少女像を思い描きながら読みすすめ、最後のページをめくる頃には、読者が覗き見していた少女はいつの間にか自分自身になっていることに気づく。
この絵本は、読者がストーリーテラーであり、ときに自分を映し出す鏡にもなりえる。その時々でまったく異なる少女像を自ら描きだすことで、自分という他人、他人という自分に出会う。このひっそりとした体験は、まさに大人の絵本の醍醐味といえる。

Stairs, a girl, a candle, and a broom—just these four simple motifs weave together a single, fleeting moment.
The reader watches the girl from a distance, secretly peering in.
As she stands still on the stairs, the reader projects emotions onto her, turning the pages while overlapping her figure with their own.
This picture book makes the reader the storyteller—and at times, a mirror reflecting themselves.
A quiet, intimate experience brought to life by contemporary artist Takashi Hara.
A wordless picture book for adults, without a storyline.
The reader inevitably becomes a secret observer of the girl.
In doing so, they imagine the unshown expressions on her face and dwell on the emotions that lie beyond them.
Above the girl’s head, a small candle flickers. The wavering flame subtly reveals the direction of the airflow.
This is the only hint—or rather, the sensory guide—that helps the reader vividly imagine the space shared by the girl and the stairs.
